My favorite sword-related websites

Non-commercial sites in English

There is this very site, of course !!

Sword Forum International
A great community forum with a huge amount of information, though little on Belgian swords, of course.

Link to Small Sword site
A private site specialised in pictures of smallswords, with some really beautiful models shown.

Non-commercial sites in French

passion militaria
A pretty active forum on militaria in general, with some very knowledgeable and helpful users

armes anciennes
Mostly the presentation of a collection, with quite a few of the mother-of-pearl smallswords I like

Non-commercial sites in other languages

Carl Beck collection
A very nice site in German presenting a single person's sword collection, using a technology way above was I was able to code.

Commercial sites in English

You will find a lot of information and buying opportunities at specialized auction houses

Link Arms and Armour Autions
Is a gateway to some of those houses

Hermann Historica
Presents wonderful objects including decorations, militaria, guns and swords. The site is in German or English, but some object descriptions are in German only. I have bid in some auctions but have never been the best bidder so far.

Helmut Weitze
A reputable German dealer with lots of stock.

Link Czernys auction house
Beautiful, sometimes exceptional, swords, beautiful pictures.

Wallis & Wallis
A vast choice of, mostly Commonwealth, swords

Or antique dealers

Link to Bertrand Malvaux's site
Has a bilingual site (French/English) and service is very professional. Like most French sites, it is very Empire-oriented, but not exclusively.

Commercial sites in French

Link to Bertrand Malvaux's site
Has a bilingual site (French/English) and service is very professional. Like most French sites, it is very Empire-oriented, but not exclusively.

And some other sites, not specifically centered on swords

Link to Horizon 14-18
An impressive site in French, presenting loads of information on the 'Great War'.
It combines text, pictures and videos to present battles, museums, monuments, battlegrounds, and much more...
